RAND, Wayne Douglas Rand

Wayne was born at home in Fern Glen to Vera (nee Bainbridge) and Jack Rand and then passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Wednesday November 26, 2025. He is the beloved husband of Phyllis Rand (nee Rivers). Wayne was in his 76th year.
Dear father of Wayne Jr. (Debbie) and Samantha (Jon Paul Evans)
Proud grandfather of Allison (Tyson), Dylan, Evan, Blake, Rayden, Logan (Nicole, her daughter Sariah) and Cabe Evans (Papa’s little man)
Wayne is survived by brother Henry “Sonny” and predeceased by siblings Doreen, Bernie, Wilbert, Shelley, Carol, Marie and will missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was a hard worker; at the tender age of 8 he worked with his dad in the bush peeling pulp, he built kitchen cabinets, worked at Deerhurst, drove transport and logging trucks, and farmed. He was always willing to help someone in need. Wayne was a very proud dad and papa who loved gardening, woodworking, hunting and fishing in his younger days, travelling, his four-legged children, music and he played many instruments.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held in the Summer of 2026 and details will be shared at a later date.
