RANKIN, Zofia Rankin

Died suddenly as a result of an accident on Monday June 29, 2026 at her home at the age of 69. Zofia Rankin, beloved wife of the late Charlie Lowe (2024). She will be dearly missed by her “Bestie” of many years, Sandy Poredos. Zofia’s passing is a loss for neighbours and friends the Morrison family, Brayden, Reg, Sherri, Ashley and Rachel. Skye, her Bernese Mountain dog was a faithful companion with thanks to Sharon. Zofia is predeceased by her parents Stanislaw and Cecylia Pasek. She is survived by her nephews Bart and Lukas and niece Alexandra, and Zofia’s siblings Zbigniew (Krzysztofa) and Helen (the late John).

She had a long and rewarding career with the Ontario Provincial Police and was a member of the OPP Veterans Association, Simcoe/Muskoka area Chapter. Zofia was a kind and compassionate woman. She cared deeply for her close friends and those who entered her life. She enjoyed her property, gardening and acrylic and watercolour painting. Zofia will be truly missed.

Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday July 9, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm for visitation, followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment, Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow.
