SUTTON, Elizabeth Helen Sutton

Died peacefully on Thursday July 2, 2026 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 82. Liz of Stayner, formerly of Aurora, beloved wife of the late Larry (2016). Loving and devoted mother of Shelley (Dan Smit) and Steven. Cherished grandmother of Amanda (Peter), Paul (Tara), Lyndsie (Jason), Justin-Ryan and Zachary and great grandmother of Jayden, Gracey, Hailey and Carter. Liz is predeceased by her sister Dorothy (Rob Dewar). She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, extended family, her family at The Belmont, and her many friends.

Elizabeth Helen Sutton was a gentle woman who cared deeply for her family and friends. She had an endless amount of patience and kindness. She loved to dance to the Oldies, her baking was legendary as was her knowledge of classic cars. Many of her handcrafts, particularly her crocheting, are cherished keepsakes. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Friends are invited to join her family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday July 10, 2026 for visitation beginning at 11 am. The Funeral Service will follow at 2 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow. If desired, a donation to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by Liz’s family.
