Rebecca ‘Becky’ Chaput

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on July 19, 2026, at the age of 86 years. Becky Chaput (nee LaBelle) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Dorice Chaput. Cherished mother of Dianne and Deacon Adrien (Bernadette). Predeceased by her son Cyrille. Loving Mamère/Grandma to Curtis and Angela Lowe (Steve McDermott), Phillippe, Yvonne, Claude, and Jacques Chaput, and Mélanie Chaput (Edgar Esparza). Cherished Grand-mamère/G.G. to Qwynn and Falon, Tristan and Théodore. Dear sister of Patsy Dion (late Harry Nielsen) and Cecile Brazeau (late Raymond). Becky was a long-time dedicated member of the Cathedral Catholic Women’s League. Becky’s family would like to thank Mom’s at-home caregivers, Barbara Dedo, Lianne Patterson, Sharon Delaurier, Shirley Boucher, and Kelsey Graveline for their loving and compassionate care. We would also like to thank the PSW’s & nurses from Access Health Care Services for their constant care as well as Jeannie Storie from Ontario Health & Home for all her assistance. A special thank you for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Geena Joseph and Dr. Mandie Bzdell. Special thank you to Dr. Mandie Bzdell for her continued care and home visits. We cherished the visits and prayers by Bishop Michael Brehl and Father Mitch Beachey.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Becky with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:30 am, followed by interment at St. Columba’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Joseph Food Bank, The Grind-Pembroke, First Step Options or Renfrew County Right to Life, in memory of Becky, would be appreciated.
