REGIER , Rita Anne Kuntz-Regier

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Anne Kuntz-Regier (née Kuntz) on Monday, August 11th, 2025 — the date of her 41st wedding anniversary. “Little Mama Rita” was the cherished mother of Amber and Matthew, as well as self-nominated mother to Jenna and April. Rita was also pup parent to feisty Chancy (pants), her adventure pal!

Rita was a proud Godmother to Tim Schneider, Mark Ronald, Murray Hehn, and a confirmed sponsor of Linda Faulkner. She is survived by her siblings George (Loretta †2025), Bertha Hehn (Mike †2025), Harold (Evelyn †2022), Luci (Bob) Ronald, Bill (Lois †2008). She was predeceased by Andrew Kuntz (†1983) and his siblings Edward, Mary, Andrew, Gerald, and John.

She will be dearly missed by her many friends, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and chosen families. Rita’s memory will be honored at a Celebration of Life at her favorite spot on the beach, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made as an expression of sympathy to Rita’s favorite charity — SickKids Foundation — or to MS Research.
