REYNOLDS, John Reynolds

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John William Reynolds, a resident of Merlin, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 80 with family by his side.

John was born in Windsor, son of the late Reg and Ruth Reynolds.

He was married to Corinne (Newham) and would have been celebrating their 59th anniversary on July 22nd.

John will be sadly missed by his wife Corinne and their two children Michelle Mancell (Greg) and Greg Reynolds (Michelle).

He is remembered by his sisters Ann Flower (the late Dave) and Sherree Ball (Walt). Predeceased by sister Janice Fisher.

Also missed by grandson Reese Reynolds, step-grandchildren Alyssa Simpson and Landon Smulders and many nieces and nephews.

John was a mechanic for many years and had his own business in Port Alma for 15 years and then moving on to Navastar in Chatham for 15 years. John was an avid Race Car driver with many trophies and championships. He enjoyed golf and spending the winters in Florida with family and friends for 17 years.

Family to receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday July 16, 2026 at 11:30 am. A luncheon will follow at the Merlin Legion, 2 Stanley Street, Merlin.

In memory of John, donations can be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 465 in Merlin.
