ROBINS, Douglas Thomas Robins

Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, May 9, 2026, Douglas Thomas Robins (aka Randy Martin) passed away at the age of 74.

Loving father of Sloan and predeceased by his cherished son, Dylan. Dear stepfather of Leslie and Emily. Douglas will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Fran, for whom he was always there, and by his brothers, Gord and Jim.

Among those who knew him at Twin Spring Park, Douglas was affectionately regarded as a “gruff old cob” — a man whose rough edges were matched by a heart as wide as the outdoors he loved so dearly. Though imperfect, as we all are, he was deeply cared for by the many friends and neighbours whose lives he touched. Quick with a joke and even quicker to lend a hand to someone in need, Douglas leaves behind memories of kindness, humour, and quiet generosity.

Douglas enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, and tin-cast model cars. He lived much of his life on his own terms, with independence and determination that reflected his strong spirit.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Ltd. A private family interment service will be held at Paris Cemetery. In Douglas’ memory, donations to the Brant County SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
