It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Audrey Joan Sampson (McGee) on Friday November 7, 2025 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Audrey was 79 years, born in Newton Mearns, Scotland on June 14, 1946, and she moved to Ontario, Canada where she met the love of her life.
Audrey was the daughter of Robert and Joan McGee. She married Wilfred Joseph Sampson on June 7, 1988 in Nevada, USA. She is survived by her 2 sons: Kevin (Linda) Sampson and Shawn (Heather) Sampson; and 6 grandchildren Brett Stackhouse, Brady Stackhouse, Isaac Sampson, Lyndsay Neil, Rebecca Neil-Sampson, and Kandis Neil-Sampson. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert McGee and sister Joyce McGee.
Audrey enjoyed gardening, visiting with friends and family and travelling to Florida. Although Audrey loved all her nieces and nephews, she had a special bond with her nieces Pam Sampson and Anita Duwel
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service in Louisdale, Nova Scotia will take place at a later date. A Celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
Wilfred and her family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Marshall, Mariana Phillips from Bayshore for her tireless dedication of care, and the staff at Right at Home especially Nelsie and Arun for providing Audrey with the best care possible.
