SAVERIO, Primo Di Saverio

Primo Di Saverio passed away peacefully in Hospice, August 1, 2025 with his wife Andrina by his side. He fought a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by a daughter Virginia, sisters Elvira and Raffaella (Carlo), nephews and cousins all of Italy, and brother-in-law Adam (Carolyn) of Canada.

Predeceased by his parents Andreina & Giuseppe and brother-in-law Amedeo of Italy. Primo was born and raised in Italy where he attended school and university. He was a banker and bank union employee.

His love of photography took him all over Italy and beyond. In his early days Primo was a track athlete, an avid chess player, movie buff, and music from all over the world kept Primo very busy for many years. Cooking Italian food was his specialty. He was a great translator of books and published his own book in memory of his father in 2022.

So dearly loved, he will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him. Many thanks to the angelic community of hospice and to his private caregivers, a few who have cared for him for many years. Thanks to Carolyn for so many home cooked meals.

Special thanks to Dr. Blaine and Dr. Danielle Anstett for their compassionate care and attentiveness to Primo. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to your local hospice through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
