SCHNURR, Mike Schnurr

Michael Francis Schnurr of Walkerton passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound, just days after his 55th birthday.

Mike is survived by his siblings Robert Guenther (Rett Armstrong) of Vineland, Mary Emke, Ellen Dentinger (Rob), and Marianne Lamont (Ron) all of Walkerton. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews, his Aunt Jean Schnurr of Hanover, plus numerous cousins.

Predeceased by his parents Lloyd F. and Marion (née Hutchinson) Schnurr and brother-in-law Marlowe Emke.

Anyone who knew Mike would agree that he was happiest when he was outside. Think of him when you are walking the trail, fishing, riding your bike or just sitting on a bench enjoying the scenery. Don’t forget to feed the birds and be kind to animals, even the “homeless” ones, because that’s what Mike would do.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held followed by interment with his parents in the Walkerton Cemetery.
