With broken hearts, the family of Shirley Schroeder announce that she passed on October 20, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Hugh; her son, Gary, and daughter-in-law, Tanya; and her daughter, Carolyn; as well as by her brothers, Dennis, Jerry, and Larry. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank & Josephine Machacek, and her sister, Linda.
A Celebration of Life, will be held on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM (PDT), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. A reception will be held following the service. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below), a recording will be made available to view in 3-5 days.
A second Celebration of Life will be held to honour Shirley in Edmonton, AB at the Beulah Alliance Church (West Campus) on November 3, 2025 – more details to come.
