Our Heavenly Father called His faithful servant Linda Margaret Schupsky home, surrounded by the love of her family in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 78. Linda was born on September 12, 1947, in Kamloops, BC, and lived a life devoted to Christ, her family, and the service of others.

Linda leaves behind a story of faith and love, survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ed Schupsky; children Kristie (Brian) Rutherford and Drake (Stephanie) Schupsky, and their son Kosten Schupsky; grandchildren Brittani (Mason) Buettner, and their children Owen and Elora Buettner; as well as grandchildren Celine (Blake) Maciel, and Jela (Alex) Egert.

Linda began her working life with Woodword’s, having been raised in Kamloops, BC. She was then transferred to help at the Prince George, BC location, at just 19 years old. It was there that the Lord’s providence brought her together with Ed at church, and the two were united in marriage within ten months, a union that would flourish for nearly six decades.

Three years later, Linda and Ed were blessed with the beginning of their family. In 1974, they answered a calling and moved their young family to the Okanagan, where Ed continued his work in construction and Linda flourished in administration, becoming a skilled and gifted office administrator. In 2009, Linda received a 15-year service award from the Regional District of Central Okanagan, which continued until she retired 14 years ago. In 2001, Linda became a certified Reflexology Practitioner, and successfully built a long-standing clientele over the next 18 years. Above all, Linda will be remembered for the beautiful voice the Lord gave her, which she offered faithfully in worship, and for her heart of hospitality, forever finding joy in serving others. She loved to sew clothing, especially for her grandchildren. She excelled in her cooking and baking skills and at one time even had a bake-off with a friend and won the contest. She was always a loving, loyal, and a fair playing servant, in Christ’s name.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Empower Ministries.
