SEHN, Edmund Sehn Jr.

He was born on April 29, 1942, in Fox Creek, Saskatchewan, and passed away on June 12, 2026, after a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Edmund Sehn Jr. will be remembered by his wife, Rachel; his daughters, Deena and Shawna; his son, Tyler; his grandchildren, Mason, Jamie, Jackson, Amber, Noah, and Adalyn; and his six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Isabell and Rose; his brother, Tony; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Edmund Sr.; his mother, Rose; five sisters; three brothers; and twelve nieces and nephews.

Known as a legendary home run king in fastball, Edmund brought the same passion and determination to everything he did. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and curling, and he was fiercely competitive at the card table. His love of sport, the outdoors, family, and “friendly” competition will be remembered by all who knew him.

Ed’s impact on those around him was immeasurable. He was a steady presence who could always be counted on for a helping hand, practical advice, or a well-timed joke. Known for his strong sense of humor and jokester spirit, Ed had a way of lightening any room and bringing laughter wherever he went. His quick wit and playful teasing became part of his charm and are memories his family and friends will hold close.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate medical staff at the hospice, as well as Dr. Stone and Ruby, for their kindness, care, and support in making Ed’s final days comfortable and peaceful.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm (PT), at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. A reception will follow the service in the Family Centre at Springfield Funeral Home.
