SHARP, Sandra (Sandy) J. Sharp

Predeceased by her parents (William & Gertrude Sharp), and her 5 siblings (Charlie Sharp, Eleanore (Lal) Seymour, Margaret Hellard, Olga Sharp & Lois Boston) she is survived by her lifelong soulmate and nursing partner Dorothy Biggs.

20 years closer in age to nieces and nephews than her siblings Sandy’s life story is forever intertwined with theirs. Gentle, calm & wise, she was an aunt, a second mother and a sister to several generations of the Sharp clan.

Sandy traveled Canada nursing in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary & Halifax, before ending her 50+ year career commuting to Queensway Carleton Hospital from her home on Round Lake. Prince Edward Island was a favorite vacation spot.

A life-long Anglican, she shared regular fellowship with all who worshiped in the Parish of the Valley Churches. She drew spiritual and physical energy helping and advocating for others in need.

Sandy was known by so many as a truly caring, non-judgmental, loving soul, with the biggest heart, best smile and a warm hug for those who were blessed to be in her presence. She will be remembered for her unconditional acceptance of all and the sense of peace she brought to those around her. Sandy will be hugely missed by all who were blessed to meet her.

Sandy’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 11:00am at Church of the Ascension, 36 Mill St. Killaloe. Interment to follow at St. John’s Tramore Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to share in a meal at the Lion’s Hall in Killaloe.
