With deep sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Donna Louise Sickle, who passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Paris, Ontario, at the age of 78. Donna was the beloved wife of the late James Sickle. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Leone Reeder, and by her brother, Al Reeder.
She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her devoted sons, Ryan (Nicole) Sickle and Aaron (Carrie) Sickle; her cherished grandchildren, Madelynn, Penelope, Genevieve, Elijah, and Aislyn; her sisters, Mary Graham (Rick) and Carol Reeder; as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends, neighbours, and all whose lives she touched.
Born in Brantford, Ontario, on July 27, 1947, Donna spent many years serving her community as a dedicated school bus driver. She was known for her warm smile, caring heart, and unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the children entrusted to her each day. Her kindness and genuine concern for others earned her the respect and affection of countless families throughout the years.
Above all else, Donna treasured her family. She was a loving and devoted mother who found immense joy in watching Ryan and Aaron grow and build lives of their own and in celebrating the lives of her beloved grandchildren. Her quiet strength, compassionate spirit, and generous heart were evident in everything she did. Donna had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
Family and friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, Ontario, on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington Society of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
