With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce that Anthony (Tony) Silveira passed away very peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Markham, Ontario, surrounded by his family.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mavis; his children Jude (Susan), Brian (Kerry), and Sandra (John); and his grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Xavier, and Gregory. His faithful dog Toby was also a cherished companion in his life.
Tony lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to family. His calm presence, unwavering support, and generous heart will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Ajax. Burial will follow at Christ the King Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. A gathering to celebrate Anthony’s life will take place at a later date.
