SMITH, Aileen Marie Smith

It is with sadness, that we the family of Aileen Marie Smith, wish to announce her peaceful passing, on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at Harvest Crossing Retirement Residence, Tillsonburg, at the age of 75. Aileen, lovingly referred to as “A” by family and friends, was born in New Liskeard, Ontario to Roy and Almeda (Richards) Rattu. Predeceased by her husband and best friend Andy Smith (2010). Aileen loved her office manager job, golfing, curling and spending weekends at the cottage, ceramics, painting, going to the theater, reading, home improvement projects and crafts, hosting themed parties and personalizing gifts with extra thought and creativity.

Aileen Marie Smith will be remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother and caring sister, aunt and friend. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Kelly Britton (Shaun McNaughton), of Tillsonburg. Always a caring grandmother to Anthony Britton, Matthew McNaughton and Colin McNaughton. Cherished sister to Linda Vargo (Chris), Sandra Randall (late Tom); sister-in-law to Audrey Martin (late John), Jack Smith (Rhonda), Al Smith (Marg). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Aileen’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date.
