He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Hannah Smith (Steckle); his siblings, Ella Koster and Norman Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Harvey Smith, James Catron and Alan Lane.

He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Brian (Anne-Marie) and Diane (Ian); his grandchildren, Ian (Kaisha), Erika, Raven, Stephen (Bird) and Marissa; and his siblings, Martha Good (Gerald), Mary Smith and Earl Smith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7).
