OROBKO, Steve – passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at his residence, Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Steve was born 89 years ago in Barfield, Manitoba, and was a longtime resident of the Niagara area, and for the last few years he resided in New Hamburg.

Beloved husband of Joan (Ziegler) Orobko, who predeceased him on November 26, 2022. Loving father of Kim Primrose, Ron Orobko and Paul and Sherry Orobko. Cherished grandfather of Garett and Tasha Orobko and Rebecca Primrose. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends.

Steve was a devoted member of the RCMP for 37 years. Before his career in the RCMP he spent time working on the family farm in Manitoba and also enjoyed time working for the CP Rail in the steam engine industry. When Steve wasn’t working, he enjoyed a competitive, yet fun game of golf. He also enjoyed time spent with his family, and his wife Joan at various Music and entertainment shows at local casinos.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no formal services.

A special thank you to the staff at Nithview Home for the compassionate care shown to Steve over the years. As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to the Alzheimer Society and can be done through the funeral home.
