STEWART, William “Bill” Stewart

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Gordon Stewart (“Bill”), who passed away peacefully at Campbell House on Sunday, July 6th, surrounded by the love of his family.

Bill was the loving and devoted husband of Barbara (née Jarman). He was a proud father to Wanda (Steve Palmer) and Heather, and a cherished grandfather to Grayden and Natalie.

Born in Collingwood to John and Marjorie Stewart, Bill is survived by his brother Albert (Linda) Stewart, and sisters Marjorie (the late Paul) Batzold and Dorothy Stewart. He was predeceased by his siblings Orland, Oscar, Harold, Lorne, Donald, and Helen Marriott (Len).

Bill will be remembered as a hardworking man with a deep love for his family and a steadfast commitment to those he held dear.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church on Tuesday, July 15th at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation or Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation.
