SWAN, David Thomas Swan

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 87.

Husband of the late Carol Swan.

Predeceased by his parents William and Marjorie, and brothers, Ron and Bill. Survived by his sister Susan.

David Thomas Swan will be missed by his adoptive family, Earl and Karen Burke and family.

David held on to the western roots he developed while living in Calgary—cowboy hats, shiny boots, and of course, those big belt buckles. He was also a great cook and took real pleasure in preparing meals in the mining camps.

He had a big heart and was very loving, taking care of his wife Carol and his brothers, when they needed him.

Thank you to Extendicare Maple View for the care given to David, as well as Church of the Good Shepherd, Christ Church and St. Peter’s Church for being like family to David.

A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 10:30am, with a reception to follow, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, located at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (Corner of Pine & McNabb).
