SWERDFIGER, Richard Stirling Swerdfiger

He was born February 2, 1945 passed away at Brantford General Hospital on April 24, 2026 at the age of 81, peacefully, holding his daughter Phyllis’ hand, after a brief struggle with heart disease.

Previously deceased by his former wife Shirley. He will be lovingly remembered by children Sheila, Phyllis, Richard and Ron, 10 grandchildren and 1 grandson Christopher(predeceased) and 3 great grandchildren. Richard has been reunited with siblings Betty Ann, Wanda and Debbie left to mourn are Anna, Darcy and Kenny.

Richard Stirling Swerdfiger enjoyed going for coffee with his many friends in Bowmanville. He was an avid listener of old-time country music especially George Jones. Richard enjoyed keeping up on the time, weather and The Toronto Maple Leafs.

A gathering of family and friends in a Celebration of his life will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home located at 53 Division Street in Bowmanville on Friday May 22, 2026 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM

Those choosing to attend the celebration of his life are encouraged to honor him by wearing Toronto Maple Leafs Colour’s.
