Valerie Jean Nahmabin

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Valerie Jean Nahmabin passed away at the age of 74. Loving mother of Lloyd and his wife Crystal Durston (Nahmabin) and John Nahmabin. Special grandma of Katelin and Johnathan Durston (Nahmabin). Treasured sister of Rosella Nahmabin, Marie Nahmabin, Tina (Bill) Johnston, Pat (Gail) Nahmabin, Ralph Nahmabin, Robert Nahmabin, Diane Caron, Gregory Nahmabin, and Charles Nahmabin. Predeceased by her son Shawn Nahmabin (2021), parents Noble and Gladys Nahmabin, and brothers Terry Nahmabin Sr. and William Nahmabin. Valerie will be missed by her grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several dear friends. Missed by her furry companion “Meow Meow”. Valerie enjoyed taking in the scenery on her walks. She loved looking at the water and loved to see beautiful flowers blooming. She enjoyed puzzles and crosswords. Most importantly, Valerie loved spending time with her grandchildren- whether she was at their school or watching their sports- she was always present and always supportive. Sunday roast dinners will no longer be the same. We will miss you and your feisty spirit. Family and friends will be received at Maawn Doosh Gumig, 1972 Virgil Ave., Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin immediately at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
