Born on March 28, 1941, in Broek op Langedijk, Netherlands, she was the beloved daughter of Margaret and Johan Pluister. Her early years were shaped by the warmth of a close-knit family and the values of hard work and persistence; she carried these ideals throughout her life.
Early in her career she brought exceptional organizational skills to her role as an Executive Assistant at General Motors of Canada in Oshawa, where she was admired for her professionalism and efficiency. Later, she dedicated much of her life to nurturing her family as a devoted homemaker.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband John Visser, her dear brother John Pluister, her sister-in-law Patricia (Pat) Pluister, and her brother-in-law Geoffrey Medhurst. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Medhurst, her son Paul (Marie), her daughter Wendy (Eric), and her treasured grandchildren Spenser, Connor, and Alexander, who brought her immense joy and pride. Her legacy of strength and tenacity will continue to inspire all who knew her.
In honouring Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a visitation or celebration of life service.
