WARMINGER, Joey Wayne Warminger
February 1, 1993 - September 11, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of our Joey. Joey Warminger, in his 33rd year.
Joey was a fun-loving, devoted dad whose greatest joy in life was being “Dada” to his three beautiful children — Brynlee (5) and his three-year-old twins, Colton and Addison. Whether dancing in the living room, helping with nighttime feeds, attending doctor’s appointments, or tackling many diaper changes, Joey was a hands-on father through and through. His children were his world.
A talented carpenter with Black & MacDonald, working at Darlington Nuclear, Joey also poured his skills and heart into his family home — lovingly renovated after years of learning the trade alongside his dad. He had a gift for building, fixing, and creating, but even more so for bringing people together.
Family and friends will remember Joey for the countless memories shared: cottage rentals and game nights, fishing trips, pool days and backyard BBQs, putting the “I” in Kingston, impromptu escape mazes, holiday celebrations full of laughter and silliness, adventures with his kids at Great Wolf Lodge, the excitement of Vegas, and the epic group trip to Mexico that will never be forgotten.
Joey’s legendary big hugs were only matched by his dance moves — moves that could put many to shame and always filled the room with joy. His heart was full of love for the special people in his life, and he gave it freely.
He will be forever missed by his loving parents, his sister Brooke (Clayton), nieces Rory and Riley, his many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and his extended family who adored “Big Joe.” He will also be deeply missed as a grandson, dear friend, partner, and by all whose lives he touched.
Most of all, Joey will be profoundly missed by his three precious children, who loved their Dada “oh so very much.”
Joey held himself to a high standard as a parent and wanted nothing but the best possible life, filled with love, opportunity and joy for his children. He would want us all to love this world, love one another — and most importantly, never forget to dance.
