It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of John M. “Scotty” Watson, who passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 86.
Scotty is lovingly survived by his children Heather (Curtis) and John (Mary); grandchildren Justice, Raquelle, Dylan, Abbey, Sheimys, Ajah, Phelisha, and Masy; Mackenna, Paisley, and Devyn; nephews Kenneth, Iain, and William McLeod; sister Anne; and many extended family members and friends.
He now goes to join those who passed before him, including his wife, Sally Watson; brother Frederick “Freddy” Watson; and parents Fred and Bellann Watson.
Born on April 3, 1940, in Stornoway, Scotland, Scotty lived a full life. He worked on the BC Railways and took pride in a job well done. He loved his family, enjoyed making art, and lived his life to the fullest.
Scotty will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved, and the memories he leaves behind. He will be missed beyond words.
