It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Jolanda Weber, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother (“Grosi”), who passed away peacefully with her family by her side at University Hospital, London, on June 10, 2026, at the age of 60.

Jolanda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Hansjörg “Hans” Weber; her children, Stefan (Lori), Roland (Linda), and Rachel (Nate) Dundas; and her treasured grandchildren, Cora, Melody, Amelia, Landon, Avaleigh, Madelyn, Audrey, Tom, Zoey, and Lucille. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Heidi Kunz; her sisters, Sonja (Bruno) Oehler, Herta (Pascal) Huber, and Susi (Andi) Manser; as well as her extended family and cherished friends. Jolanda was predeceased by her father, Ernst Kunz, and her sister, Maya Kunz.

Born in Switzerland on August 30, 1965, Jolanda grew up on a dairy farm and always had a love for animals and nature. At age 15, she met the love of her life, Hans, and they were married on October 20, 1984. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work, love, and family. Jolanda went to school to become an office clerk and worked in the field for a few years before she and Hans took over her family farm as they began raising their family. On their 10th wedding anniversary, Jolanda and Hans traveled to Canada to visit friends and quickly fell in love with its beauty and farming opportunities. Inspired by their visit, they immigrated to Canada in April 1996, settling in rural St. Marys, where they pursued their passion for farming and established Stonetown Artisan Cheese in 2015.

Jolanda was the heart of her family and the steady presence behind life on the farm. She had a special gift for making a house feel like a home, creating a warm and welcoming place for family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to visit. A talented gardener and homemaker, she took great pride in preparing delicious meals and baked goods that brought people together around her table. She especially treasured spending time baking bread and treats with her grandchildren.

Creative in everything she did, Jolanda enjoyed pottery, painting, sewing, knitting, and crafting for every occasion. She was known for always having a remedy for whatever ailed you, whether it was a practical solution, a homemade treat, a listening ear, or a few words of wisdom. She and Hans shared a lifelong love of dancing after first meeting at a dance when they were teenagers, and they continued to dance together throughout their years of marriage. Together, they also enjoyed travelling and exploring in their RV. Jolanda loved playing cards, hosting gatherings, and spending time with friends. Above all, she cherished every moment with her family and took immense pride in being Grosi to her ten beloved grandchildren.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at London Health Sciences Centre for not only their medical expertise but also for their compassion, as well as to the many friends who offered unwavering support, kindness, and companionship throughout Jolanda’s health journey.
