He was born January 2, 1989, passed away suddenly at the age of 37 on March 29, 2026, in Belleville. His loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who loved him.       

Joshua was the beloved son of Lisa Blackhurst and her late husband Norm, and the cherished son of Mark Wilson and his wife Donna. He was the loving brother of KaSandra Ashurst (Brian) and Norman Blackhurst.

He was Predeceased by his grandparents Rachel Toomer (nee Wheeler), Laverne Wright (Jane), Murray & Betty Wilson, and also his Uncle Kevin (Rick), who now welcome him with open arms. He was a treasured nephew to Denise Wright (Andy), Tammy Bellefeuille (Ben), Brian Wright, Katrina Wright (Bruce), Andrew Wright (Sam), Karen Shelly, Julie Harkness (Willie), Micheal Wilson (Karen), and Doris Curtis.

Joshua was a proud and devoted uncle to Jade, Drayden, and Mariah.

Above all, Joshua was a proud father. His heart lives in his sweet little girl Adalynn, and in his boys Hayden and Joshua. He was also a caring stepfather to Hunter & Paisley, who held a special place in his life.

He will be deeply missed by his cousins Alicia (Ace), Victoria, Kyra, and Zack, along with many other extended family members who loved him dearly. Joshua shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with his childhood best friend Anthony Sparks (Asjia)- a friendship that stood the test of time.

Joshua Murray Laverne Wilson lived with passion and heart. He loved dirt jumping, BMXing, fishing, music, and the simple joys of playing with Ninja Turtles. He found his greatest happiness in spending time with family and friends, and in being a dad – a role he cherished above all else.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, from l-4pm at the Napanee Royal Canadian Legion, 26 Mill St E, Napanee, Ontario.

In honor of Joshua’s memory, donations may be made to Addiction and Mental Health services.

Joshua will be remembered for his spirit, his laughter, his loyalty, and the love he carried for the people in his life. His absence will be felt forever, but his memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew him.
