WOODMAN, Paul Joseph Woodman

Born in Penetanguishene, Paul was the son of the late Ernest and Irene (nΓ©e Tessier) Woodman.

Beloved husband of the late Marion (nΓ©e Miller) Woodman, Paul was a loving father to Cheryl Woodman-Sherwood (Herb), Paul Michael Woodman (Nancy), Julie Tanton (James) and Jennifer Rumble (Jeff).

Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Nicholas, Alicia (Robert), Joshua (Daveina), AimΓ©e, Γ‰lie and Maxence, and cherished great-grandfather of Brayden, Jackson, Emily, Ayla and Vianna.

Paul Joseph Woodman will be sadly missed by his siblings, Mary Woodman, Gerry Woodman (Lois), and Dennis Woodman (Connie). Paul was predeceased by his brothers Ray and Allan Woodman, and his sisters Joan McCormick and Patricia Wolfe.

To his friends and neighbours, Paul was affectionately known as “Woody.” Above all, he was a family man who was actively present in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, cheering them on at hockey, karate, baseball, soccer, and football games, and attending their school events and performances.

Paul also believed deeply in service to others. He was a faithful member of his church community and generously gave his time to both the Knights of Columbus and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and Outreach For Hunger.

Paul retired from Brewers Retail in 1991, after 35 years of service.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
