Passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Friday, August 15, 2025. Born in Holland, Grace immigrated to the Niagara Region following her brother and sister, leaving behind her father, sister and brother-in-law, and five nieces and a nephew. On this next journey, she follows her son Kevin (Christine), siblings, and niece. She leaves behind her children Gerda (Chris), William (Krista), and Brenda (Allan), grandchildren Elora (Abbas), Max (Kat), Johnathon, Nat (Brooke), Liam (Erin), Catherine, Hope and Jared and great-granddaughter Harlow.
Grace had a passion for flowers, gardening, puzzles and reading. Her bucket hats that she wore everywhere, even indoors, were her signature. She loved colour – particularly red. She had a quirky sense of humour that could catch you off guard. She had an active mind, with a strong interest in history and politics and was quite astute in her assessment of various politicians. She never had the chance to finish high school in Holland so she decided to enroll in high school English classes in her ‘40’s, much to the chagrin of Kevin, as they were in the same class.
Grace weathered many storms in her life. She appreciated the love and support she felt through the many cards, phone calls, and visits she received over the years from her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland North, London, on Tuesday August 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a scattering of ashes ceremony.
