Robertson MarilynROBERTSON, Marilyn Anne (nee CLARE)   -  "Turn your face towards the sun and the shadows will fall behind you." Maori Proverb

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Anne Robertson (née Clare), on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Trillium Court in Kincardine, Ontario.

She is survived by her husband, Alexander McEwan, of 34 years.

Loving mother of Tom (Angela), John, Nina (Tim), Emily (Art).

Step-mother of Brenda (Angus), Jill (John), Carol, and Peter (Jodi).

Cherished Nana/Grandma of Zackary, Emily, Sarah, Aaron, Kaily, Kyle, Skye, McEwan, and Andrew, along with numerous great-grandchildren; and extended family members, including, Judi, Jill and Allison.

Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her sharp wit, sense of humour, kind heart, great sense of style, and never forgetting a birthday. Her ability to foster and nurture lifelong friendships was one of her most memorable qualities. She brought light and laughter to every occasion.

She lived life to the fullest and had many interests.

She embraced self-improvement, studying at the University of Toronto to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1987 as a mature student. This was one of her proudest achievements.

Marilyn and her husband, Alex, enjoyed travelling, singing in choirs, attending theatrical performances, symphonies, and participating in various charitable events. Her philanthropy was evident with her generous donations and volunteering to many causes.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care received from Dr. Gurbin, Trillium Court Staff, and the South Bruce Grey Health Centre.

A Celebration of Life will take place with immediate family at a later date. Cremation has already taken place.

Memorial donations to YWCA Toronto, the Scott Street Mission, or Famous People Players, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
