Nishino PollieNISHINO, Pollie Yasuko (nee Onishi)   -  Died peacefully, at age 93, with family by her side on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Tak Nishino (passed away December 25, 2015).

Cherished mother of Dawna Kobayashi, Sharon Marubashi, Cindy Jung, and Tom Nishino.

Devoted mother-in-law to Marty, James, the late Paul, Mike and Leanne.

Adored Grammy to Warren, Kristin (Chris), Kevin, Aaron (Yuli), Megan (Simon), Kimiye (Shane), and Adam. Predeceased by her siblings: Sumie, Misako, Heidi, and Jackson.

Will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law, Bob Nishino; much-loved nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Pollie was especially proud of her 7 grandchildren and was their biggest fan. Pollie will be fondly remembered for the love she had for her family, bowling, golf, casino trips, her beloved Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Her dedication to volunteering at the JCCC and making her infamous teriyaki chicken at Caravan will be her legacy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Kobayashi Hall, 6 Garamond Court, from 1:00-5:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 2:30.

In lieu of Koden, donations to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre would be greatly appreciated .
