HELLING, Edith Jean (nee SCOTT) - Slipped away peacefully, on September 11, 2022, surrounded by her family, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, in her 81st year.
Survived by her dear husband, Walter, who cared for her with love and devotion for 60 years; son, Glen (Heather) Helling; daughter, Marta (Christian) Kingsmill.
Adoring grandmother to Maitland, Rachel, Hanna, and Ryan.
Edith will be missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, J. Archie Scott and Alexandra M Scott; in-laws, Felix and Martha Helling; and brother-in-law, Albert Helling.
Edith taught kindergarten for 34 years in Etobicoke and she loved spending time in our Florida home.
Friends and family are invited to a Graveside Service at the Gorrie Cemetery, on Saturday, September 17th, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
