Feren JamesFEREN, James Gordon William Feren   -  77, of Peterborough, Ontario, known to family and friends as "Jim", passed away on October 28, 2022, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Jim was born to parents, Gordon and Catherine "Bunny" Feren, in Niagara Falls, Ontario on January 24, 1945.

He attended St. Michael's College in Toronto, and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1970. In 1967, he married Sharon Frances Stock and they remained happily married until his death.

For many years, Jim owned a Shoppers Drug Mart in Guelph, Ontario, where he was a respected pharmacist to thousands of people until 1999, when he retired and moved with Sharon to a lakeside house in Huntsville, Ontario.

In recent years, with his eyesight failing, they relocated to Peterborough, near to their daughter Cheryl.

Jim was a caring and kind-hearted member of the community wherever he lived, and was beloved by many friends and neighbours, and by his family. He was a lifelong sports fan, and a man of great patience and optimism, as evidenced by the fact he remained a Leafs fan until his final days.

Jim was predeceased by his sister, Pat; and is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Richard, Christine, and Cheryl (Chris); and grandchildren, Jake, Claire, Madigan, and Logan.

Although no formal funeral service will be held, there will be a celebration of Jim's life in the near future, and friends and relatives will be notified of the detail.
