Mamone GerryMAMONE, Gerry   -

January 18, 1944 - March 21, 2024

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Gerry Mamone announce his passing, at his home, surrounded with love, in the early morning of March 21, 2024.

An innovator, trendsetter, and visionary, this art director was renowned for his creativity, and avânt-garde approach to art, fashion and life.

Gerry is survived by his adoring wife, Adele Monaco; his children, Jason (wife, Hedy) and Cristian (wife, Lexi); and his most adored jewels, his granddaughters, Mackenzie, Sierra and little Aria.

He also leaves behind his sister, Nina (husband, Dominic, deceased); his cousin, Annette (husband Gary); and his many other cousins, nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law, Ermes (wife, Cathy); and his sister-in-law, Marisa (husband, Victor).

In addition to his family, Gerry leaves behind countless work and lifelong friends. Gerry, an art director, who was a mentor and a teacher, provided guidance and inspiration to a multitude of photographers, stylists, artists, and many others in the arts.

Despite his many achievements and recognition from the artistic community, Gerry remained humble. His greatest source of pride was always derived from his wife, his children and grandchildren.

A family man and friend to all, Gerry opened his doors and his arms to celebrate life everyday.

His passing has left a marked void in the lives of so many, but his art, his kindness and his love for his family will live on forever.

A Visitation for Gerry will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes – Thornhill (8088 Yonge St., Thornhill), from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.   Funeral Mass will occur Monday, March 25, 2024, St. Paschal Baylon Church (92 Steeles Ave. W., Thornhill), at 10:30 a.m.

Contributions in Gerry's memory may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
