Carter GrahamCARTER, Graham Murray  -

July 12, 1957 - April 12, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Graham Carter, age 66, on April 12, 2024 at the family vacation home in Arizona.

He passed away in his sleep due to apparent natural causes.

He was the loving husband and best friend to his wife of 32 years, Marian McConnell Carter.

Proud, loving and devoted father to Dylan, Luke and Dallas Carter. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Victor; and his mother and father-in-law, Kitty and Mac McConnell.

He is survived by his mother, Annie Mae; brother, Grant (Vanda) of Ingersoll, ON; and brother and sister-in-law, Tom McConnell (LaTricia Turner) of Atherton, CA. Loving uncle to Zachary (Emily), Patrick, Aaron (Megan) and Emma Carter, and Will, Reed and Cole McConnell.

Graham grew up in Woodstock, ON, and was an avid sportsman. He attended the Universtity of Pennsylvania and Harvard University undergraduate, and was captain of the Harvard hockey team.

He was a friend to many, who took a genuine interest in each person he met, drawing them out, affirming them, providing advice and encouragement, and finding something to joke about. Graham was a very humble, selfless individual who always put his family first.

He will forever be remembered for his kind, caring, and generous nature. A graveside service for immediate family members is being held in Woodstock.

A private Celebration of Life to honour Graham will be held in May.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
