October 14, 1932 - April 17, 2024

 

Beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, peacefully reunited with his loving wife, Beverley, on April 17, 2024.

 

Survived by his 5 children: Bill (MaryLou) McArthur, Linda (Jim and family) Jackson, Cathy (Michelle and family) McArthur, Joanne (Andy) Knaz and Don (Birgit) McArthur; his grandchildren: Jonathan (Georgina), Jimmy, Buster (Christyna), Rebecca (Ian), Devon (Chelsey), Kelly (Reuben), Sondra (Rick), Jackie (Troy), David (Jaclyn), Margaret (Mitch), Travis (Elise), and Billy (Amonre); and his great-grandchildren: Sloane, Rayne, Brett, Jayce, Kayde, Summer, Arwen, Willow, Aria, Avery, Jacob and Luke.

Predeceased by his sister, Betty (Peter) McArthur; and brother, Doug (Arva) McArthur. Bill was the co-proprietor and President of McArthur Ford in Markham, President of the Toronto Automobile Dealership Association, and member of the Board of Directors; and President of the Canadian International Automobile Show.

 

Visitation will be held at 10 am, service at 11 am and a reception will follow on Saturday April 27, 2024.  All will be hosted at Stouffville United Church at 34 Church St N., Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON.

 

All who wish to carry on to Elmwood Cemetery, 6150 Hwy 7, Markham, ON for his internment at 2pm are welcome.

 

In remembrance of Bill's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Stouffville United Church .
