Vit EgidiaVIT, Egidia (nee Mattiuzzo) - Peacefully passed away surrounded by family on August 11, 2018.

Egidia was born on September 17, 1924 in Pramaggiore, Italy to Valentino and Regina Mattiuzzo.

Egidia is predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Enrico, brother Aurelio (d.Pina), sister Rosa (d. Antonio).

Survived by brother Marcello (d. Regina), nieces and nephews.

Her beautiful and full life will be forever cherished by her children Loris (Liz), Walter (Alison), Loretta (Joey , Nalu (Larry).

Nonna will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Eric, Lisa (Bill), Adrian (Mariangel), Sarah, Julia, Miranda, Olivia and Cali.

As well as Bisnonna to Sophia, Riley, Dylann and Max.

Egidia will forever be remembered as loving mother, awesome cook and tender mentor to her grandkids.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt debt of gratitude to Egidia's loving caregiver for the past 7 years, Chona Elmido and her supportive family. Our mother was never frightened or alone due to Chona's tender, loving and affectionate care.

Egidia will be sadly missed and forever remembered, may she rest in peace with God.

Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, Toronto on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St Andrews Catholic Church, 2547 Kipling Avenue, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment at Woodbridge, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dorothy Ley Hospice.
