PAXTON, Basil Joseph - Passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Health Centre, Richmond Hill, on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of the late Leonora "Norie" Paxton and dear father of Patricia (Ray), Michael (Frances) and Robert (Stacey).
Proud grandfather of Shannon, Christopher, Andrew, Jordan and Jenna and great-grandfather of Luke. He was loved and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
An extremely hard working man with an incredible mechanical mind, whether tearing out a transmission from one of his gravel trucks or working on one of his kid's snowmobiles.
A proud father and husband devoted to providing for his family.
A lifelong passion for the outdoors who loved farming, cutting firewood, his hounds and hunting. Visitation will take place at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S., Newmarket, on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 2-3 p.m.
Funeral service to take place in the chapel at 3 p.m., followed by cremation.
