VALUKS, Lilita (nee JENCS) - Passed away peacefully after many years of pain and discomfort.
Beloved wife of Julius Zigurds Valuks. Lilita is the daughter of the late Fridrihs and Olga Jencs in Latvia.
Lilita's father Capt. Fridrihs Jencs served in the Latvian army in 1944 and was deported to Siberia.
Lilita was employed by the Provincial Government for many years at various ministries.
In their spare time, Julius and Lilita built a cottage where they spent their holidays and weekends.
They supported the Toronto Symphony of Orchestra and Hummingbird Centre by having seasons tickets for many years.
Visitation: Monday, August 27th at 1 p.m., Funeral Service at 2 p.m., at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York.
As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew's Latvian Lutheran Church and the Latvian Relief Society of Canada, Daugavas Vanagi.
