Flannery GraceFLANNERY, Grace Doreen  -  Wife of Joseph Roy (1986), passed away August 20, 2018 aged 95.

Mother of Wayne (Edwina), Brian (Brenda 2016), Judy Taylor (Bill) and Lisa Cwyk (Orest); called Nana by 6 grandchildren (Jason, Tara, Lee Anne, Sean, Andrea, Marko), and Great-Nana by 11 great grandchildren (Tate, Grace, Lily, Chloe, Noah, Aiden, Connor, Brady, Taylor, Sarah, Jacob).

Survived by eldest sister Rose (England), and sisters-in-law Hilda and Greta; predeceased by brother Len, sister Margaret and granddaughter Andrea.

Mom served proudly in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force in WWII, met our Dad, fell in love and as a War Bride came to Canada. She made this her new home never forgetting where she started, recalling stories of her youth for all of us to know more about her and the family she left in England and Wales. Mom was welcomed lovingly into the large Flannery clan and loved all her extended family, nieces and nephews around the world.

We invite family for visitation at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) on Friday from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In memory of Grace, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the War Amps or Dorothy Ley Hospice.
