PELLING, Ivy May - It is with great sadness that George, loving and devoted husband of 68 years, announces the passing of Ivy, 90 years of age, at Credit Valley Hospital.
Ivy enjoyed a full life which included a life of service, dedication and passion for her community of Streetsville and Meadowvale.
She worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia in Streetsville for 27 years and Ambler Courtney for 10. Ivy was a devoted member of Streetsville Trinity Church and was an Eastern Star of the Masonic Lodge.
Ivy was the bookkeeper for the Streetsville Navy Cadets for over 40 years.
She took on the role of grandmother and mentor to many neighbourhood children, teaching them to read, crafting and playing cards with them.
Ivy will be sadly missed by her 'special friends' Shelley and Kevin Austin and their family, Michaela, Samantha (Eric) and Krystal. Ivy loved and was blessed with the love and respect of her many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held for Ivy.
