GREARSON, Jean Mary - 1925 - 2018 Our beautiful mother is gone.
She passed away peacefully on September 4th, in her 93rd year; a quiet end to a life filled with adventure and accomplishment, from Cape Breton to Montreal and Toronto, and then through travel to the capitals of the world.
Jean, who was born to Fred and Molly MacDonald, is survived by daughter Linda of Toronto and son Donald of Bermuda, son-in-law Yves Gionet and granddaughter Anik Grearson, daughter-in-law Ronda James and grandson James MacDonald Grearson.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Emory Taylor Grearson and sisters Flora MacDonald and Helen Moffit.
Jean was the centre of a large and boisterous family, including sisters Sheila Muttart of Toronto (Graham), Lorna Hogan of Vancouver, brother Ron MacDonald of North Sydney and nieces and nephews scattered around North America. Jean will also be missed by her many friends and acquaintances, built up through a busy career in real estate, her far-flung travels, Blue Jays baseball, garage sales, games of bridge, you name it…

The family is especially grateful for Jean's dedicated caregivers Eden, Karen, Merly and Rebecca who were lovingly by her side these past few years. Jean will be missed.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held at Mt. Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mt. Pleasant Rd.) on Monday, October 1st at 1 p.m.
