Simone FiorinaSIMONE, Fiorina - Passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2018 at the age of 96.

Predeceased by her husband, Guiseppe.

Loving sons Pasquale (Connie) and Alberto will miss her terribly.

Her four grandchildren are also very saddened by her departure into God’s hands. Matthew (Kathryn), Gavin (Mary) Jennifer Kozey (Stephen) and Chad (Mel).

Nonna just recently became a great grandmother to Paige and Brooke Simone and Evelina Kozey. They brought great joy into her life for a short time.

Predeceased by her four brothers and survived by sister Antonia Iaboni. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and their children.

Coming to Canada from Italy in 1951, was one of six children. Her and Guiseppe carved out a life here in Canada, raising their two boys.

She loved her family, gardening, knitting and cooking. We will all miss the slippers knit by her hands, the tomatoes grown in her garden and packs of food sent home after a meal at their home. Her thoughtfulness abounded.

Family and friends are welcome to Bernardo Funeral Home, Toronto on Wednesday, October 3rd from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 33 Connie St. (Keele and Wilson) on Thursday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Toronto.

In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice, if desired, would be appreciated.
