MOUSTAKAS, Helen - (October 19, 1939 - October 2, 2018) - Helen Moustakas was born in Evias, Greece on October 19,1939. She travelled to Canada in 1963 with her loving husband Nickolas Moustakas and her first son John. Together they started to build a family home in Toronto, and shortly after came Steve. With great sadness she entered Heavens gates on October 2, 2018.
She had the most genuine smile that lit up the room and would give anything to see someone else smile.
Helen was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She shared her favourite recipes with her daughter-in-laws; Maria and Mirella Moustakas. She truly enjoyed travelling, especially back home to Greece. Although her most treasured and favourite times was spent with her grandchildren; Nicholas, Sam, Helen, Anthony, Marina, and Nickolas Moustakas.
On October 8th, 2018 a visitation will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. The following day a short visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am with a service to follow. All will take place at the Birchmount Pine Hills Cemetery. Please join the family in a luncheon at Flippers Fish House in Scarborough, and remember as you are being served food; our Yia Yia (Helen) would say 'Take two because you have two hands'.
