McLEOD, G. Douglas - Quietly passed away on September 30, 2018 at Trillium Hospital and was predeceased by his loving wife, of 59 years, Frances E. McLeod (February 14, 2012).
He is survived by his two children Sharon McLeod and Stephen McLeod (wife Michele) who he was extremely proud of their accomplishments.
Douglas grew up in the Kingsway and always had many stories to tell us of his youth while attending Etobicoke Collegiate Institute and then continuing his studies at Western University.
After graduating from Western he decided business was the avenue that he wanted to travel and became a Chartered Accountant receiving the designation of CA in December of 1953. In 1956, Doug and Fran moved to a new housing development in Applewood Acres where Doug continued to live until February 2015, after Frances passed away. It was in this tiny neighbourhood that many friendships developed and continued until very recently.
There will be a Memorial Visitation on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (cremation has taken place).
We would also like to thank the amazing staff of 5J, at the Trillium Hospital who took such amazing care of our father in the last few months.
