Simnett AgnesSIMNETT, Agnes (Parker) - Died peacefully at Garden Court Retirement Residence on Sunday December 2, 2018 surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren at 98 years of age.

Predeceased by her husband Jack (1997) and son Gordon and his wife Anne (2002).

Survived and missed by her loving daughters by Ann Cowie (Cliff Lalonde), Betty-Jean (Ruben Dominguez) and Jill Trotter.

She will be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born November 26, 1920 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. She immigrated to Toronto via Ellis Island in New York city in 1922.

She married Jack (John) Simnett on November 10, 1945 and they grew their family with Gordon (Dec 13, 1946), Ann (August 29, 1949), Betty (Nov 11, 1950) and Jill (March 15, 1952).

This led to 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who loved her dearly.

She loved dancing, singing to the radio, and garage sale shopping on her way to spending time in Muskoka (where the set of stairs she helped build out of bricks in 1960 still stands).

Friends and family will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, Toronto on Wednesday December 5, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for visitation. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from CCAC; the staff of St. Joseph’s Health Centre; the staff of Eatonville Care Centre, and the staff at Garden Court Retirement Community for their dedication.
