DALLA CORTE, Rosetta  -  January 16, 1929 - December 2, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Rosetta Dalla Corte.

Rosetta passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on December 2, 2018, at Mackenzie Health, Richmond Hill.

Rosetta, the oldest child of Antonio and Angela Tonet, grew up in a small town in northern Italy with her parents and siblings, Massimilla, Roberto and Maria Luisa.

She married Gelindo Dalla Corte in 1957 and joined him in Toronto where they had three children, Frank, Jerry and Gloria. Tragedy struck in 1966 when Gelindo was killed in a car accident.

Rather than return to Italy, she raised her family in Canada where her children would have better opportunities. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to her family and to her faith. Rosetta was a doting mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She will be sadly missed by her devoted children Frank (Emily), Jerry (Adriana) and Gloria (Cosimo), her beloved grandchildren Adrian (Nina), Daniel, Anthony and Francesca, her dear sister Luisa (Dino), her nieces and nephews and her family and friends in both Canada and Italy.

The family would like to thank the palliative team at Mackenzie Health, who made her last days comfortable and peaceful.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd. E., on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. David's Church, 2601 Major Mackenzie Dr. W., Maple. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children.
