FORD, Mildred Dolores (nee SIMPSON) - Peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, surrounded by family in her 88th year.
Predeceased by siblings Alan, Herbert and Janet.
Much loved mother of Joanne (Margaret), Nancy (Bruce), Peter (Sandra) and Stephen (Cathy).
Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Andrei), Shannon (Curtis), Jeffrey (Hayley), Samantha (Michael), Austin (Kirstie) and Jasmine.
Great-grandmother to nine.
D was a woman of many talents from her early days as a Sea Ranger and Girl Guide and well into her retirement years with her baking and hand crafts, which won her many awards especially Canada Packers'. Her sewing, knitting, crochet and quilt works still live on in many homes and places of worship.
D was an avid member of Thornhill Horticultural Society and an Associate with the Sisterhood of St. John the Divine.
She will be missed by the many lives she touched and impacted in big and small philanthropic ways.
The family will receive friends at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 140 Brooke Street, Thornhill, on Saturday, December 22nd at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Private family interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Sisterhood of St. John the Divine (a monastic community within the Anglican Church of Canada) and North York General Hospital, would be appreciated
