TRAVERS-GRIFFIN, Helen Theresa - Surrounded with love, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and in her 96th year, Helen Theresa Travers-Griffin, adored wife of Rodney, passed away.
She will be profoundly missed by her daughter, Colette (Danny) and grandson, Daniel (Lynsey).
Her family was very important to her and will miss her dearly, especially her sister-in-law, Sally Smyth; as well as nieces and nephews: Burke (Elisabeth), Kim (Charles), Steph (Paul) and Andrea (David).
A lifetime Beacher and former teacher at Malvern C.I., Helen loved to read, play the piano, knit and solve crosswords. Helen and Rod had many great travels when they lived in England and upon returning to Canada.
Love of being together led to many varied and happy experiences in their over 61 years as a couple. She was kind, had a quick wit and will be missed beyond belief. Many thanks to Dr. Paul Nijmeh for decades of care and compassion; to the staff of MGH and HomeInstead PSWs for making her final chapter a comfortable one.
Visitation will be held at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough Ontario, on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. John's Parish, 786 Kingston Road, Toronto, Ontario M4E 1R7 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
